Manager’s Message

 In General

Dear members,

The health and safety of our residents, your guests, and our staff continue to be a top priority during the coronavirus pandemic.

As you may be aware, on November 17, 2020, Pennsylvania Health Secretary, Dr. Rachel Levine, issued a travel mitigation order that also included additional mask guidance/requirements.  In summary, those visiting from other states must have a negative Covid-19 test within 72 hours before entering the state or to self-quarantine for fourteen days. Those living in Pennsylvania who travel to other states and return to Pennsylvania must also obtain a negative Covid-19 test within 72 hours or self-quarantine for fourteen days. This order doesn’t apply to those who routinely cross state lines for work, although it is recommended that individuals who do such travel work remotely. The Association is notifying all owners and landlords that they are required to follow Dr. Levine’s order. We are seeking our resident’s cooperation to help reduce the spread of COVID19.

November 2020 Travel Mitigation Order adds that:

A mask must be worn outside of your home if you cannot remain physically distant (at least 6 feet away) from someone not in your household the entire time you are outdoors. This includes while exercising in the fitness center
A mask must be worn inside your or a guest’s home with those who are not part of your immediate everyday household, even if you are physically distant

If you need to visit one of our facilities, we remind you that a face mask is always necessary even while observing social distancing.  There are hand sanitizer pumping stations in all facilities for your use.  The Association is continuing to treat all facilities and vehicles throughout the day with proper CDC cleaning protocols. Pennsylvania is not alone in experiencing an increase in the number of positive Covid-19 cases, and we are continuing to follow all precautions to keep you, your guests, and our staff safe!

Our staff, with unwavering dedication, is continuing to work throughout the pandemic. At this time, all administrative, maintenance, and public safety services will continue with safeguards in place.  We ask when possible to please conduct business via phone or email.

With the annual 2021 assessment invoices being mailed next week, we remind all residents that we offer direct debit for automatic payments from your bank account.  This adds convenience and ensures that you never miss a payment; you can set it and forget it!  Please contact Lisa Gehringer, Controller lisagehringer@pepoa.org, or Susan Strunk, Community Relations Manager susanstrunk@pepoa.org, for more details.

Sincerely,

Phyllis Haase
