Message from the Community Manager Moving to Phase Green

 In General

Dear Residents,

At Penn Estates, POA, we remain steadfast in our commitment and dedication to keep all of our members informed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Currently, as you already know, Monroe County is moving to green on Friday, June 19, 2020, as per the Wolf Administration.

In the green phase of the COVID-19, we will continue to work in coordination with all state, federal, and agency guidelines in an attempt to continue to mitigate the transmission of the virus.  Some of those efforts including requiring social distancing, facial coverings, and other best practices in the best interests of public health and safety as it relates to our residents, their family members, guests, and our staff.    While this phase facilitates a gradual introduction to our new normal, it is still important to maintain strict guidelines to keep the spread of disease at a minimum.  We cannot guarantee that even with these guidelines in place that the virus may be present, and you may be at risk. We will continue to ask each of you to do your part and to cooperate with the staff at all times.

As the temperature outside is rising and summer is almost upon us, many are wondering when the pool will open.  We are happy to report pool opening will be on Saturday, June 20, 2020, at 11:00 am.

There is a capacity restriction, cleaning schedule, and registration required.

There will be four daily time slots being 11:00, 1:00, 3:00, and 5:00 at each pool for 90 minutes each.  Two separate designated pool areas will allow for 40 members per pool per time slot. After the 90 minutes, all members will be required to leave the pool complex so that staff may sanitize, as per the CDC guidelines. Reservation must be made at least 24 hours in advance, i.e., 11:00 am time slot must be reserved by 11:00 am prior to the day being requested.

Our pool registrations will be handled via website registration for members in good standing.

When you log onto the system, there is a general waiver that must be completed, printed, and brought to the pool with you each day for each and every person entering the pool area by an adult.  Admittance will not be permitted without the waiver, youth included. You will then arrive at your scheduled time with your waiver and your photo amenity badge for access (additional waivers will be at the pool if you should need one).

The badge monitors will collect your waiver and compare the name on the form with your photo amenity badge and compare the waiver to the pool registration confirmation list.

All registered participants will be required to use the portable wash station or hand sanitizer provided before entering the facility and have your temperature checked by the attendant.  If you are sick or experiencing fever, we ask that you cancel your registration and not come to the pool.  Anyone with a temperature will not be permitted to access the pool area.

Furniture is not being provided at the pools for safety reasons. Food, toys, and floats are not be permitted.  Only US Coast Guard approved lifejackets will be allowed into the pool area.

You will be asked to participate in active swim for your time slot, and when not swimming, the mask guidelines as per the CDC will be required to be followed.  We ask that you maintain social distancing from anyone outside of your family.

Sometimes residents face circumstances that stretch available financial resources, and now more than ever, this may be a possibility.  If you are experiencing a unique situation, please contact Susan Strunk or Phyllis Haase at (570) 421-4265, so we may work with you on a plan to pay your account.

We ask that you follow any specific guidelines posted at the amenities/facilities.  Also, all trash must be disposed of in a proper receptacle, or you must take it with you.  Please do not litter.

Please know that we will continue to keep you updated on our actions as we continue to navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic.

We have seen some remarkable unity throughout this health emergency, and we hope to see that continue!

Our wish is for all to stay safe and healthy.
