TOYS FOR TOTS
This week's picture of the week shows all the toys donated by Penn Estates residents and staff. Joannna Huffman from the Administration Office took all the toys to the Marine Recruiting Office in Stroudsburg on Friday, December 16, 2011. Penn Estates proudly supports the U.S. Marine Corps Toys For Tots program. Thank you to everyone who help support this program too.

THE 2012 ANNUAL OPERATING AND CAPITAL BUDGETS
The budgets have been approved by the Board of Directors as of a Special Meeting, Saturday, November 26, 2011. Management and the Board of Directors were able to keep the 2012 dues at 2010 and 2012 rates; the 2012 Budget can be reviewed at the Administration Office by homeowners.

HOLIDAY BAZAAR AND HOLIDAY BINGO
Both events were held on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the Community Center Oak Room to raise money for the new playground fund. Kudos to the Recreation Committee's dedicated volunteers for putting on two spectacular events on one day!

ANNUAL CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING
What a fantastic event held Friday, December 2, 2011 at 7pm at the Community Center Oak Room! We saw new faces and old friends for cookies and juice, songs and decorating the tree with ornaments made that night. Accolades were sent out to the Maintenance Team for two beautiful trees; the inside tree is just gorgeous and the new tree outside in the Community Circle is a welcome addition. It was a fun-filled great event! Great job again to the Recreation Committee and the dedicated volunteers for carrying on this Penn Estates Tradition.

ANNUAL LIGHTING OF THE MENORAH
Following all holiday traditions is a part of Penn Estates; alongside the Christmas Tree lighting was also the lighting of the Menorah to celebrate the upcoming celebration of Chanukah. Great job again to the Recreation Committee and the dedicated volunteers for carrying on this Penn Estates Tradition.

ANNUAL BREAKFAST WITH SANTA
In case you missed it Saturday morning, December 3, 2011 SANTA VISITED PENN ESTATES ON A FIRETRUCK to have breakfast with the good little boys and little girls. (maybe even some of the big kids too shhh) He even gave out presents! Again it was wonderful to see new friends and familiar faces together enjoying a great time with this Penn Estates Family tradition. Thank you to all that participated in the fun.

CANINE REGISTRATION PROGRAM
All canines are required to be registered with the Community Association and tagged as part of the Canine Registration Program. These requirements become effective on September 1, 2011. Click here to obtain the registration form.

PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE GEESE
It is believed that one of the causes of periodic high levels of bacteria at the lake is goose droppings at the lake. To protect the lake and your wallet, please do not feed the geese. There is a $50 fine in Penn Estates for feeding non-domesticated animals. For more information, select this link.

Utilities, Inc. 2010 Consumer Confidence Report
Annually, as required under the US EPA Consumer Confidence Report Rule [40 CFR part 141 Subpart 0], all community water systems must prepare and deliver to their customers a brief annual water quality report containing information about our drinking water. For this reason, the 2010 Consumer Confidence Report is available for your review.
